We believe that everyone should feel welcome at Gala and are delighted to be hosting a relaxed performance of our swashbuckling panto Robinson Crusoe.
A relaxed performance is designed to welcome audiences who might otherwise feel excluded from experiencing live theatre. This may include those with an autistic spectrum condition, learning disability or sensory and communication disorder.
With a relaxed performance, we aim to create a less formal, more supportive environment. The audience is free to talk or move around if they need to, and a ‘chill out’ space is available for anyone who feels they would like to take a break. Lighting, sound and special effects in the pantomime are slightly altered in order to reduce anxiety levels, but the production remains the same as much as possible. Staff are trained to create a friendly setting and assist with an additional needs our patrons may have.
We also have a venue guide which can be found here.
