Ardal O’Hanlon

Tuesday 2 Nov, 8.00pm
In his new stand-up show, Ardal laughs in the face of mounting adversity - recession, inclement weather, an aging body and impending doom. He fearlessly turns the spotlight on surviving relationships, raising children and… the Swiss. Best known as Father Dougal Maguire in Channel 4’s BAFTA winning series Father Ted, Ardal is a highly acclaimed actor, novelist and comedian, has toured to sell-out audiences internationally, and has released two Top 10 stand-up DVD's. He continues to be one of the most sought after comedians today.

“a complete joy to watch, planting the sort of silly images that bump around in your head forever” The Guardian

  Kevin Bridges

Wednesday 3 Nov, 8.00pm
Kevin hadn’t set foot in a comedy club before his first open-mic spot in 2004. Then his big TV break on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow aired to over 5 million people and made him the fastest act to sell out all 28 nights of his Edinburgh Festival run; adding a staggering 15 extra shows, which also sold out. Kevin’s astute observations and natural gift for comedy make him the hottest Scottish act of the last ten years. A master of stand-up at just 23, he’s destined to be a huge star and likely to be playing arenas this time next year, so catch him while you can.

“just naturally very, very funny. Let's just call his talent frightening” The Scotsman

  Alun Cochrane
Jokes, Life and Jokes About Life

Saturday 6 Nov, 8.00pm
An envelope stuffed full of his own hand-chiselled, lovingly-created jokes, versus a bag of ‘life’ (not insulin - anecdotes, observations). But which is funniest? Let's decide together. Observational comedy and droll storytelling collide to create very funny sort-of-jokes amusingly told by arguably the best comedian you’ve never heard of. Unless you have heard him, in which case you’re someone for whom Alun is ‘that comedian that’s very funny about weird stuff that other people don’t really talk about’.

Jeremy Hardy

Wednesday 10 Nov, 8.00pm
Jeremy's live show could be called an extravaganza, were it not for the fact that nothing happens. He comes on, talks for a while and then goes off again. He doesn't walk about. He doesn't even take the microphone out of the stand. In fact ‘show’ is a bit of an overstatement. But he does say quite a lot, most of it coherent. And he means well, which is the main thing. An essential member of BBC Radio 4's The News Quiz and a regular guest on I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue and Just a Minute, Jeremy is one of the sharpest comedians on the circuit.
