Created in the heart of Durham, Gala’s fabulous family pantomime tells the enchanting rags-to-riches story of Cinderella.
Cinders is confined to the kitchen, and being picked on by her Ugly Sisters. With a little help from her flying Fairy Godmother she hopes to win the heart of a handsome prince. With ball gowns, glass slippers and a few surprises thrown in, will it be a fairytale ending…?
The Gala team are back together - with a few new (pretty!) faces.
Wicked Baron Gristle (Neil Armstrong) is determined that his two ‘beautiful daughters’ will go to the ball. Durham’s Dame, Donald McBride teams up with local lad John Carter as his fellow Ugly Sister. The hapless team of Paul Hartley (as Buttons) and Jane Deane (as Dishes the cook) cause all manner of mayhem in their attempts to help beautiful Cinderella (Sophie Michaels) to win the hand of dashing Prince Charming (Tom Caley). And overseeing the whole proceedings with a little magic is Fairy Marigold (Helen Embleton).
Filled with mayhem, magic and live music, it’s a hilarious ride through the traditional fairytale story. So polish your pumpkins, and let Durham’s panto family make your festive season complete.
